Reporting to parents occurs throughout the year, with teachers publishing a class report each month in The Message Stick.
In Term 1 the school holds an information evening at which parents meet their child's teacher and they receive an overview of the year's program. This is accompanied by a handout which explains class routines, rules and expectations about homework and how parents and carers can work in a partnership with the school.
A Progress Report is sent home at the end of Term 2. Parents are requested to attend an interview with the class teachers (and other support teachers where applicable).
During the year class teachers will present a learning journey with their students to inform parents of class programs and student learning.
At the end of Term 4 parents receive a comprehensive written report.
Interviews can also be arranged at other times by parents and teachers. Should parents need to share information or air concerns with the school, appointments can be made with class or specialist teachers, the school counsellor or the principal.
